Taking Time

As an undecided student nearing the end of my first semester at college, it helps to know that in reality, I don't need to be a decided student right now.

The pressures to align yourself in a major and to seem confident in your future can be overwhelming, but by no means does that imply that if you don't know what you want to do you shouldn't just let yourself be undecided. Though there will be a time in the future where you might need to have some idea of a direction in your life, you can afford to take some time and explore some alternate options. Take a class in a subject that interests you but falls outside your major. Join a social club that you normally would never consider. Maybe even write a weekly blog to explore your options as an undecided student and realize that a large liberal arts university is the perfect place to find your passion, and that all you have to do is explore.

Though its easy to get caught up in the present and over stress yourself, it can help to realize that you don't have to have all the answers today, and that taking some time to explore your campus and yourself can help you realize what you really want to do.
